French Black Copper Marans Started Young Pullet Hens Available Now

Our French Black Copper Marans breeding stock is from the Wade Jean line. The eggs are used by many world-renowned chefs. The French Black Copper Marans lay the darkest brown eggs of any variety of chicken. We have great egg color on the Marans Egg Color Chart. We sell Black Copper Marans chicks, hatching eggs and young started pullets. French Black Copper Marans were developed in France and are famous for their chocolate brown eggs. The English standard calls for clean legs; we breed to the French standard of feathered legs. French Black Copper Marans are bred for egg color not for high egg production. The slower the egg is passed the more the egg is colored. However, Marans is good on egg production.

We've had our Marans line for 15 years, we've kept the line pure, adding in NO other lines.

We can fit 3 birds per box.  If you want more than 3 you will need to place multiple orders.

 Pullets are shipped out around 5 to 6 weeks of age. Pullets ordered now will ship spring 2026.  We fill orders in order of payment received. Weeks of age. 

Included in the shipping cost is a box required by the Post Office along with the express mail fee.
